Current situation of auto parts industry

According to the customs import and export data compiled by China Automotive Industry 

Association, the export volume of auto products in China continued to grow slightly in 2014, and the total export amount was 84 billion 314 million US dollars, up 7.08% over the same period last year. Among them, the export amount of auto parts was 64 billion 617 million US dollars, up 8.02% over the same period last year, a slight increase from last year, accounting for 76.64% of total vehicle sales and 0.36 percentage points higher than that of last year. The total vehicle export ratio is only 15.23%, which is far lower than the proportion of parts export. In general, the auto parts export situation was better in 2014. The export of parts and components has become the main factor to stimulate the growth of automobile export. Four kinds of auto parts varieties (engine, auto parts, accessories and car, automobile, motorcycle tires and other automotive related products), compared to the annual export amount increasing, the engine total exports 3 million 662 thousand and 200 units, an increase of 10.56%; exports amounted to US $1 billion 680 million, an increase of 6.69%; auto parts and accessories and the export amount 35 billion 359 million dollars, an increase of 11.96%, increase significantly over the previous year; automobile, motorcycle tires and other automotive related products export value growth has slowed over the previous year, exports were $15 billion 151 million and $12 billion 427 million, an increase of 1.83% and 5.43%.

According to the export data of 1~12 months in 2014, the export volume of auto parts, accessories and auto bodies still occupy half of the four categories of auto parts. In general, the product structure of export did not change too much, and the added value of export products did not increase significantly.

In addition, collected from the seven main parts of the Automobile Association of export varieties (electronic fuel injection device, body, seat belt, airbag device, gearbox, drive axle, shock absorber) performance, electronically controlled fuel injection device has a serious decline in exports totaled 3 million 128 thousand units, down 69.92%. The other six groups showed a certain growth. The export amount of seat belts, drive axle and shock absorber increased by two digits compared to the same period last year. The overall performance was excellent, and the remaining three groups achieved a small increase.
